A List Building Tip You Probably Haven’t Heard Before

Posted on March 6, 2007. Filed under: Opt in email marketing |

Here’s a tip for you that I’m sure no one has ever told you before.

And it’s just this.

In your list building activities – do not send messages that target beginners.

I’m often asked why wouldn’t you want to target beginners.

And my response is always the same.

Beginners are usually not ready to spend money. They’re usually out just testing the waters.

Now compare that to people who are interested in a topic. These people have usually begun to spend money.

The idea here is that beginners need more hand holding. And if you want to do that then that’s fine.

But if you want to make some money with your list then you’ll need to target people who are past the beginnig stage. You want to target people who have begun to spend money in your niche.

That’s all for now.
