Are Your Autoresponder Messages Getting Read? Add These Two Response Generating Words To Any Of Your Messages And Watch Your Readerships Rates Grow

Posted on March 16, 2007. Filed under: autoresponders |

Do you know what the 2 most valuable words are that you can use in your autoresponder messages to quickly grab your readers attention?

Here’s quick hint.

I just used one of them on you in my opening sentence.

If you didn’t catch the first one, then scoot back up the the first sentence.

Did you notice the second word from the beginning?

If you said that the word I’m refering to here is the word you, then you’re correct.

This little 3 letter word has the ability to make your reader feel like you are talking directly to him. Even though you have never seen your reader, never talked to your reader, just by using the word “you” you’re giving them a one on one type of feeling.

Here do this. Count the number of times that I’ve used the word you so far.

While you are reading this message don’t you just feel like I’m talking to you and not the other hundred’s of reader that are out there?

That’s the power of the word “you”.

Now for our second soldier.

Some of you might be thinking that you already know what the second word I’m refering to is. And if you think it’s the word free….then you’d be mistaken.

Because it’s not.

When it comes to autoresponders and getting your messages read, the second most valuable word you can use is the word “because”.

“I’ve got a brand spanking new set of presidential gold coins. I purchased them from an authorized coin dealer in Chicago. He told me that there were only 100 of these limited edition coins made. I just happened to be there when he received his 10 coins.

Each store within 10 miles of each other can only sell 10 sets each. So on that day I was lucky to get a set because there was a line outside the door that stretched around the corner.

But now I’m affraid I’m going to have to sell them BECAUSE my wife just lost her job a week ago after being an employee at Abbot labs for 10 years. Her company’s ceo pleaded guilty to money laundering. This knucklehead used company funds to support his 15 different schemes. Now the employees will suffer because of it.

Plus, when you add to that the fact that my job has just cut my hours from 40 to 30 hours a week. With no real increase in hours per week no where in sight. Then you can see that money is getting real tight. I don’t even know how we ‘re going to pay for our kids school tuition this month. But I do know that we could really use the money that selling these coins could bring.”

Did you catch it?

The word because was thrown in there to give the story some believability.

And guess what?

These two soldiers will do the same for you and your messages.

All you have to do is put them to work for you and watch how they bring in the sales.

That’s all for now.

Having Touble Writing The Perfect Headline For Your Autoresponder Message? Then Try This Tactic To Banish That Problem Forever

Posted on March 12, 2007. Filed under: autoresponders, Email Marketing |

How many times have you written a message for your autoresponder subscribers that you just knew was packed with solid information for your readers, but after checking your message opening rate, you came away dis-appointed?

There’s a good chance that it was your headline that let you down.

Faulty Headline-itus. It’s a common disease that anyone can catch. 🙂

The problem usually lies in when you create your headline.

While having an attention getting headline can determine the success or failure of a message getting opened, most people tend to write the headline last. After they’ve written the message…they try to make the headline fit. That’s usually when faulty headline-itus strikes.

So how do you prevent faulty headline-itus?

You can do so by writing the headline first.

There is an art to writing the headline first.

And although I’m not saying that you have to become some sort of headline writing jedi….you do need to know how to get started.

Here is an article that will further explain how you can go about creating your headline before writing your message.

How To Promote An Affiliate Program Using Your Autoresponder

Posted on March 9, 2007. Filed under: autoresponders, Email Marketing |

If you’ve signed up to promote an affiliate program and you’re currently promoting it in your autoresponder using the pre – written letters they gave you… then you need to hear this.

ALWAYS write your own copy

Many affiliate programs you can sign on with these days provide great support resources to help you market their products. Some even offer “templates” of what to write out to your list. You know the drill: “Dear X, My friend John has agreed to let me give you this exclusive deal.”

Do not be foolish enough to merely “cut-n-paste” this into your newsletter. At the very least rewrite it. Better still, start with a blank screen and write your own copy from scratch.

Why?

Many people out there subscribe to a number of lists. If they get an email from you promoting a product, and a week later they get the exact same wording from another list owner, you’ve both lost a lot of credibility. Every time you write something in the future, that person is going to be thinking “did she write this, or is it prepackaged spiel?” That’s assuming they stay with your list at all.

That’s all for now

What Should You Put In Your Autoresponders First Couple Of Messages That Will Make Your Readers Trust You Much Quicker

Posted on March 7, 2007. Filed under: autoresponders |

Hey, would you like to know how to get off to a good start with building a relationship with your readers?

Then try this.

Pay attention to your autoresponder sequence. Specifically the first couple of messages.

Keep in mind that you are not trying to sell them anything here, your just trying to establish a relationship. Your building up to the point where you can recommend them something.

So what should your first message contain?

In your first message you should offer a thank you along with any freebies that you might have promised them for signing up.

Your next couple of emails should be spaced out between 3 – 6 days a part. You can test that idea out to see which number works best for you.

I personally have found 3 days apart to be a good starting point.

Next, your messages should contain useful information.

=> Useful websites

=> Useful content

=> Useful links

And keep providing them with information that moves them forward towards their goal.

Then in time you will be able to make product recommendations that will generate new sales for your business.

That’s all for now.

How To Use An Autoresponder

Posted on March 5, 2007. Filed under: autoresponders |

I’m going to share with you a simple autoresponder sequence that you can use to start building credibility with your readers that will ultimately lead to the sale.

I hope you’ve got your pen and paper ready.

Here it is.

1. Your first message should deliver the information that you promised. This should happen immediately.

2. Your next message should offer more information about your initial product. This message should be sent at least 1 day after message 1.

3. In your next message you need to mix in information about your product along with free information. This message should be sent 1 day after message 2.

4. In your next message you can use a soft sell for your product while still providing free information. This message should be sent 1 day after message 3.

5. And now the clincher. In your next message you send out free information..but this time you tell them all the ways that they will benefit. This message should be sen 1 day after message 4.

And that’s it.

You can play around with other messages in the sequence…but what I just gave you is a easy way to get started.

That’s all for now.
